How this poll works
- One vote per visitor. When you vote, a token is saved in your browser and a hashed record of your network address is saved on the server, so the vote buttons stay disabled on return visits.
- No accounts, no tracking. No login, email, or personal identifiers are required or collected at any point.
- Shared, server-side totals. Vote counts are stored in a database on our server, so every visitor sees the same live results — not just their own browser's tally.
- Anonymous by design. Each vote record contains only your chosen option, a random one-time token, and a one-way hash of your IP address used solely to prevent duplicate votes. No name, email, or account is ever attached to a vote.
- Not a scientific sample. Visitors are self-selected, not randomly sampled, so results should not be interpreted as representative of any country's population or of public opinion generally.
